Delray Beach GreenMarket 2026-27: dates, hours and the Saturdays it closes

Dates and hours for the 2026-27 season

The CRA calls this the 31st Annual Winter GreenMarket Season. It opens Oct. 24, 2026 and closes May 22, 2027. Both are Saturdays, and the window holds 31 Saturdays in all. Take away the three closed dates and 28 market days are left. We counted those Saturdays from the CRA’s start date, end date and closed list; the CRA does not print a total.

The three Saturdays the GreenMarket is closed

The CRA’s Rotating Vendor and Non-Profit applications say the market is open every Saturday from 9 AM to 2 PM “except the following dates”, then list three:

• Dec. 12, 2026: the CRA names it as the City of Delray Beach Holiday Parade day. We found no City or DDA page for the 2026 parade, so its time and route are not published.
• March 13, 2027: the CRA names it as the City’s St. Patrick’s Day Festival day. No 2027 City or DDA parade page was found either.
• April 10, 2027: the Delray Affair. The Greater Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce lists the Affair for April 9 to April 11, 2027, and this Saturday falls inside it.

Before the Dec. 12 closure there are 7 market Saturdays, counting opening day. A CRA post of Sept. 30, 2026 says closures due to citywide events will be noted on the GreenMarket webpage and the CRA’s social media, so check there if a big downtown event is announced later.

Where the DDA differs: Dec. 12 and Jan. 2

The DDA’s Winter GreenMarket listing still showed Dec. 12, 2026 as a 9 AM to 2 PM market date when we checked. The CRA runs the market and lists the day as closed, so we follow the CRA. If you planned a market trip for that Saturday, pick another week.

Jan. 2, 2027

Jan. 2 is not on the CRA’s closed list, so by the CRA’s rule it is a market day. The DDA listing skips it and jumps from Dec. 26 to Jan. 9. Nobody has said which is right. Our advice: treat it as open per the CRA and call the GreenMarket on 561-276-7511 before you go. Our date checker marks that Saturday as one to confirm, for the same reason.

Paying with SNAP and Fresh Access Bucks

The CRA says SNAP was launched at the GreenMarket in January 2022. Fresh Access Bucks give SNAP recipients up to $40 extra every market day for local produce at participating vendors. Not every stall takes part, so look for the vendors that do before you shop.

How long it has run, and the summer market

The CRA says the Winter GreenMarket started in 1996. The CRA itself dates from June 18, 1985, when the City Commission set it up, and its office is at 20 N Swinton Avenue. A Summer GreenMarket, running June through July, was added in 2015. No 2027 summer dates, weekday or hours were published when we checked, so we do not give any.

How many vendors? The CRA’s GreenMarket page says more than 60, a CRA news post says more than 70, and the DDA has said 50 plus. Expect dozens, and do not plan on any one stall being there.
